7th Annual Remembrance Run

Ride with the American Legion Riders in Support of our Fallen Hero's Families

The Remembrance Run is an annual motorcycle ride from Vancouver, WA to Blaine, WA. The proceeds from this event go towards the American Legacy Scholarship Fund. The American Legacy Scholarship Fund helps to provide educational money for the Children that have lost a parent as an unfortunate consequence of Operation Iraqi Freedom and America's War on Terrorism. These parents lost out on the opportunity to see their children through school and into adulthood. Providing for the children our Military Members left behind is our Civic Duty.

Ride begins at American Legion Smith-Reynolds Post No 14 in Vancouver Wa.

4607 Northeast Saint James Road, Vancouver, WA 98663-2166

American Legacy Scholarship

The opportunity to attend college shouldn't be out of reach for children left behind when a parent serving the U.S. Military dies while on active duty. That's why The American Legion started the "American Legacy Scholarship" - to provide scholarships for children of active duty service men and women killed on or after Sept 11, 2001.

The Legion would like us to put together rides and events across the country on September 11 of each year to help raise funds for this scholarship.

Most of us can remember where we were and exactly what we were doing on September 11, 2001. It affected us all-and four years later, we are still engaged in a war on the terrorism that came to our shores that day. The young men and women serving in uniform and their families deserve our help. This is just one of the ways we can do it.

And, since The American Legion is asking for our help, this is surely a way for us to show what an asset the ALR is to the American Legion Family.

It is best to memorialize those who have perished as a consequence of the 9/11/01 attacks by planning an event for 9/11; however, there is nothing to prevent anyone from planning an event on another date, or even from simply donating to the American Legacy Scholarship Fund from our charity funds.

If you would like to make an individual donation via credit card, please visit this link on the American Legion Website: join.legion.org/legacy/. There are also instructions there for donating by check.

Thanks!
